Pictures of home

Today Room Seven had to read a national library book again. At first we had to read the book for 15 mins then we answer some questions on our thinglink then we needed to post it on our blog at last. My favourite part of it was reading.

On Wednesday room seven had to make a thing link about the national library book that we chose. At first we answered the six questions on our thing link then we had to put it on our blogs and write about what we did. At last we posted it on our blog.

My famous idol

At fist my famous idol was John Cena but a lot of other people chose him too so I preferred to do something different from John Cena - Abraham Lincoln. I don't think anyone chose him accept me. When I was done with my famous idol I showed it to my teacher then he ask me something, "was this just copied and pasted?" And I replied, "um... yes". Then he told me to write it in my own words as I sighed. After a few minutes I let him check it again and finally said I was done. It was hard but at least I learn lots of interesting facts about Abraham Lincoln.

Trolling

On Monday morning, tenth of October James came to teach the class about trolling, it means doing bad things online. There is my scenario about being trolled. 

Who could I tell? Someone I could trust.

Should I reply? Maybe.

Should I keep playing the game? No.

Who online could I report it to stop them doing it to others?  

The story of Zed Exo

My Mythical Creature

Room Seven made cool mythical creatures for art. At first we had to plan about what we were going to make by finding images of mythical creatures on our Chromebooks. Second, we drew it on our art book. Third, we practised making it with play dough. The play dough that I used was not dry yet so I had to borrow play dough from someone else. Fourth, we started making it with real clay and our teacher brought it to a place that fired the clay and made it as hard as steel. After two weeks we got our clay back. Fifth, we painted then white then painted them in other colours. Last, we made the backdrops for our clay creature. And that is how we made our mythical creatures. As you can see above my backdrop has a volcano. My slides name is 'The dark side of Zed Exo', I used this name for my mythical creature because it sounded cool to me. The name came from the planet Zoolander Exo that I made up. My slide is about my mythical creature that was first good but turned bad because of the humans. Make sure you watch my slide. 

My Seventh Son Book Trailer

Room 7 loves to read the books from the library so we decided to describe and make a book trailer about our favourite book. I thought that it would be boring but it turned out to be lots of fun.

 After we were done with our book trailers we needed to make a QR codes so others can watch. If you download the QR code scanning app, you could scan the QR code that is stuck to your book and the book trailer would pop up on your device.

It took me a really long time to finish my movie trailer, I had to change my mind three times on what book I was doing and also had to find a massive amount of images for my book trailer about Seventh Son. Have a look at my trailer and make a comment. 

How to write a good comment on someones blog

Room Seven had to write about what makes a good blog comment then we watched two video about it. After the two video we refined our ideas to produce this great Padlet. I hope you get some tips.

Circuits

On 25th of July it was the start of school and the seniors from Room Seven, Eight and Nine (year five and sixes) have been learning how to make circuits in many different cool ways. All circuits definitely need batteries because batteries are the things that produce electricity for circuits to work properly so if there was no batteries in a circuit, it would never work. Same as the battery compartments or the wires. Everything that makes noise, makes lights or switches on and off has a circuit in it to make it work with electricity.

Which sites do you spend the most time on and WHY? mathletics, because I like maths

Why do you think the word ‘Google’ comes up so much when looking through your history? because mostly everything is under google

Do you think it would be different if you did this activity on a weekend? WHY? yes, because I don't bring my chromebook home on the weekend
